It’s been a wild year for Reid. He has finished up a graduate degree in Agricultural Economics, worked with the Quivira Coalition to implement a ranch planning program, worked on a remote ranch in NE Oregon, and helped consult on various economics, land use, and ranch projects. Before this most recent crazy trip around the sun, Reid has spent time ranching in Patagonia, Montana, Idaho and Colorado and working in research. Broadly, he is interested in applying thoughtful empirics, community, humility, and innovation in order to preserve and strengthen western rangelands. With a background in economics, business, and psychology, Reid is passionate about profitable solutions to keeping working lands working. When he’s not fixing fence or analyzing data, Reid can be found moving through mountains or deserts on foot, bike, or ski.
