Register for the 2018 Comanche Creek Volunteer Weekend!

August 2-5

Join Quivira and restoration experts Bill Zeedyk, Jeff Adams, Mark Reineke, Margie Tatro, and Richard Smith in work to improve wetland function and keep the creeks flowing in the Valle Vidal.

Friday and Saturday, we will be working in the Foreman tributary to Comanche Creek. This is a truly beautiful area, not easily accessible to the public. As always, we will be moving rocks, sod, and logs. Come to get muddy and then to relax in camp with friends old and new.

On Sunday, we will be exploring using the concept of Keyline Design for slope wetland restoration with Jan-Willem Jansens of Ecotone and the rest of the team. There will be a brief introduction to Keyline Design Principles and then a hands-on volunteer project to implement the designs in Holman Creek. It's possible just to come for Sunday.
