The third of four generations working the family ranch, Zach Ducheneaux has had the good fortune to gain many different perspectives as he’s navigated from distressed borrower to farm advocate to Tribal leader to IAC program manager, CDFI founder, and now IAC executive director. He also serves as the board chair for Akiptan CDFI, and board vice-chair at Northwest Area Foundation. His goal is to bring systemic change to the Ag Finance industry, transforming it from an extractive force to one of partnership and shared growth. The current reality of the Ag Finance industry is that it brings stress and risk to the producer, so much so that any hope for regenerative or even sustainable agriculture is stymied. The IAC and Akiptan are at the forefront of changing that.
