Young Agrarians (YA) is a farmer to farmer educational resource network for new and young ecological, organic and regenerative farmers in Canada. We recognize the Indigenous lands and territories that we work on and alongside, and are committed to providing programs and services that are inclusive and available to farmers and friends of diverse backgrounds. Since 2012, our network is volunteer-driven, with farmers across the country organizing on-farm events and building community to create spaces for knowledge sharing and growth.
NAVIGATING FARM TRANSITION – SUCCESSION CAFE WITH YOUNG AGRARIANS
THURSDAY NOV 12| 2 – 3:30PM MT | $10
How we steward the transition of farmland and businesses from one generation to the next is going to have a major impact on the future of agriculture and food systems. Join us for a participatory workshop to share and learn about the opportunities and challenges of farm transition. Our facilitated conversation will explore the process of transition, the skills needed for a successful transition, and the exchanges that will build a strong foundation. This workshop is open to current and future farmers thinking about or already involved in either family or non-family farm transition.
