My ancestors homesteaded in Colorado in the late 1800’s and were deeply involved with Ranching and Farming in Durango, Colorado. We decided in 2000 to build a USDA inspected Livestock Processing Facility and Butcher Shop storefront, in order to provide services to local Ranchers who wanted to transition from cow-calf operations into direct marketing of meat products. I have worked for 23 years in retail food with an emphasis in fresh meats and seafood, studied at CSU Fort Collins in the Meat Sciences program and oversee both the processing and retail businesses. Sunnyside Meats USDA Processing Facility offers specialized services to local and regional Ranchers. Sunnyside Farms Market Craft Butcher serves locally raised meats to shoppers in our community.
