Carter—President, Founding Member, and Trustee of the Greenacres Foundation—started work as a farmhand on the Greenacres Farm at the age of 13. In 1988, as the foundation’s executive vice president, he worked with Louis and Louise Nippert to develop and implement the Greenacres Mission, transforming Greenacres from a simple working farm into a community foundation focused on educating the public, and children in particular, in the areas of generative farming, conservation, and appreciation of music and culture. Carter is also president of The Randolph Company, a money management firm, Planet Products, a manufacturing company, and the Louis and Louise Nippert Charitable Foundation, and he serves as managing trustee of the LIFE Foundation.
