Cory grew up in the isolated mountains of Northeastern Oregon as the fourth generation in a cattle ranching family. After returning in 2003, she started Carman Ranch Provisions, a company focused on finding market outlets for the livestock raised in manners that build soil health.

Dr. Michael Kotutwa Johnson, a member of the Hopi Tribe in Northern Arizona, serves as the Native American Agriculture Fund’s (NAAF) Research Associate. Dr. Johnson recently received his PhD from the University of Arizona’s School of Natural Resources and the Environment.
