Ranch and Farm Financial Planning: Budgeting as a Decision-Making Tool

In this workshop, Reid Hensen, Agricultural Economist and Ranch Planner will provide ranch/farm planners, Technical Service Providers and interested producers with a brief overview of how to use budgeting tools such as enterprise analysis and partial budgeting to help inform strategic decision making when working with producers on management plans. The workshop will develop common language used in economics to describe decision-making and articulate the differences between financial planning and accounting. You can expect to leave the workshop feeling more confident in the use of budgeting as a decision tool and ready to dive deeper into how to implement these tools.
