Water & Wildlife Management at Fort Union Ranch

April 27, 2023 - April 28, 2023

REGISTRATION CLOSED – sorry for the inconvenience.
Please email us if you’d like to be on the waitlist: education@quiviracoalition.org

Join Fort Union Ranch, Triangle P Cattle Co., Bill Zeedyk and more for 2 days of education and fun on the land at Fort Union Ranch! We will learn about building erosion control structures, setting up an aerated static pile compost system (no-turning!) for rangelands, grazing and stewardship for water and wildlife, beaver dam analogs, tree thinning for wildlife habitat, organizing a water management plan, and more! Camping is available Wednesday and Thursday night at Fort Union. We’ll offer four omnivorous meals Thursday and Friday, with a potluck for campers on Wednesday evening. The workshop and food are entirely free. However, donations are welcome to help cover the cost of food! See registration for more details and thank you for considering donating.

This workshop was originally scheduled for last April, 2022 but was cancelled due to wildfires. It is the final part of a 4-part series on Water & Wildlife Management on Working Lands held last year in partnership with the NM State Land Office, Western Landowners Alliance and the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies.
