Erosion assessment and mitigation workshop

Hands-on workshop on erosion assessment and mitigation

April 12, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Mosquero, NM

Are you interested in learning more about soil erosion and how to mitigate it on your land? Join us for an all-day workshop at Trigg Ranch. You will learn how to identify types of erosion, read the landscape to assess where the origin of erosion problems might be occurring, and how to easily build affordable structures that help control eroding water flow and increase water infiltration. Aaron Kauffman from Urban Southwest Hydrology will be our speaker for the presentation portion.

Lunch is provided. We will meet at Headquarters Restaurant in Mosquero for a morning presentation and carpool over to Trigg Ranch after lunch for demonstrations and hands-on work.

This workshop is partially funded by the USDA and in partnership with Trigg Ranch, Ute Creek Soil and Water Conservation District, and Urban Southwest Hydrology.

Questions? Contact María Rodríguez at maria@quiviracoalition.org or at 505-820-2544.
