Call #1: You and Your Operation as a Mentor

October 13 at 7 a.m. MT
October 14 at 12 p.m. MT

Mentoring differs from being an employer in key ways. How do you know if it’s right for you? What are you excited to teach?

The answers to these and other questions can help you write an apprenticeship description that is both appealing and realistic about the ups and downs of regenerative agriculture on your site. We’ll discuss ways to describe work schedules, location, isolation, and other factors to help make sure your description appeals to the applicants you most want to attract.

Call #2: Evaluating Written Applications

November 10 at 7 a.m. MT
November 11 at 12 p.m. MT

A strong evaluation process begins before you read a single application. Creating your review process in advance can help you evaluate relevant experience as well as potential in less-experienced applicants.

We’ll share strategies for tackling applications, evaluation templates, and sample email responses for applicants you would like to interview and those you decide not to move forward with.

Call #3: Interviewing for Your Best Candidate

December 1 at 7 a.m. MT
December 2 at 12 p.m. MT

Design an interview process that helps reveal applicants’ skill level, motivation, and aptitude to determine whether they are the right fit for your operation.

We’ll discuss useful interview questions, questions that cannot be asked for legal reasons, how to get the information you need, and how to select finalists. The call will also include suggestions for conducting phone, video, and on-site interviews.
