Workshops:
HEALING TRAUMA AND INJUSTICE: A MENTAL HEALTH WORKSHOP FOR FARMERS AND RANCHERS
THURSDAY OCTOBER 29   |  12 – 2PM MT   |   $10
This workshop will collaborate with attendees to address the mental health concerns of farmers and ranchers, systemic injustices that exacerbate stress, coping mechanisms, the neurobiology of trauma and social justice, and rituals and self-care for healing. The presenters/facilitators, Ariel Aaronson-Eves and Ailish Kress, are white, middle-class, queer, cisgender women who bring their experiences as farmers and their study of counseling and trauma to their commitment to racial and social justice. The presentation will deal with sensitive subjects; participants are encouraged to prioritize their emotional and psychological safety.
